Up for Auction is a single "Gold" seat that once lived within section 8 of the arena bowl of historic Maple Leaf Gardens, the former home of the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1931 until 1999, located at 60 Carlton St in Toronto, On. This unique seat, which features wooden armrests, a metal frame, a plastic seat back and a metal seat bottom, is professionally mounted on a wooden frame displaying the official Maple Leaf Gardens Memories & Dreams 1931-1999 plate (8-050). The #6 seat displays significant use from numerous fans over the years at MLG, along with the original paint colour (red) and has been hand signed by Maple Leafs legend Wendel Clark in support of Habitat for Humanity. All NET proceeds from the MLG seat will be donated to Habitat for Humanity GTA, which is a local non-profit organization with a global vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Habitat GTA mobilizes communities to help working families build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. With the help of volunteers, donors, and community partners, Habitat provides a solid foundation for better, healthier lives for families in the GTA. Since 1988, Habitat GTA has built 23 new communities, providing a hand-up to more than 500 families so parents and children can have a safe, decent and affordable place to call home.
