Item Description

Gloves worn by Toronto Maple Leafs all-star forward Auston Matthews during the mid-way portion of the 2023-24 National Hockey League season. Matthews would wear these gloves, marked Set #27, while scoring his 38th goal of the season on January 21st vs the Seattle Kraken as well as goal #40 on January 27th vs the Winnipeg Jets, just prior to the 2024 NHL All-Star weekend in Toronto, ON. The gloves would live within his stall at Scotiabank Arena throughout the ASG weekend and would be worn for two more games played on February 5th vs the New York Islanders and lastly on February 7th vs the Dallas Stars, where he would go on to record his 41st goal of the season. With the goal in Winnipeg Matthews would become the 20th player in NHL history with at least 5 consecutive 40 goal seasons. In addition, Matthews would also record his 600th career point, becoming the fastest Maple Leafs player to record 600 points, doing so in 527 games, surpassing teammate Mitch Marners' record of 600pts in 548gp set earlier this season. These 14-inch CCM Jetspeed FT1 Pro gloves display significant wear for photomatching, are marked at set #27 on the season along with filled hearts in each palm, and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
